Dementia is fatal. It is the third leading cause of death in Australia after heart disease and stroke. It is not yet curable, and knows no differentiation – this disease can happen to anyone. It could happen to you or someone you love. Researchers are looking for ways to detect Alzheimer’s disease in the earliest stages.

North and West

Wild@heART Community Arts presents a new Artist Mentoring Program aimed at emerging musicians and performing artists with disability or mental illness. This is a fortnightly workshop program workingwith industry mentors, and peer exchange of skills, ideas and experiences, to achieve artistic and career goals. This program starts in July, held at the North Melbourne Town Hall.

The Gillard Government and Victorian Coalition Government have reached a historic agreement that will allow for the full roll out of DisabilityCare Australia, the National Disability Insurance Scheme, in Victoria by July 2019.
