Launch of the first annual AAA Art Prize, a new national art prize for artists with disability.
The prize will focus on a different art form each year, starting with Visual Art in 2012. One winning work will be chosen to win a cash prize of $5,000!
Launch of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission research report "Desperate Measures: The relinquishment of children with disability in state care in Victoria."
The report captures the findings of an extensive research project into concerns that families are surrendering their children because they are not being given enough support to continue full-time care. Monday 21 May, Carlton.
