So this Update has KEY and 'frequently asked questions' (FAQ's) to assist you.
Is it worth families and workers attending the conference?
Yes. The Advocacy Stream is open to all delegates, but it is aimed at providing deeper information and discussion for families & workers.
In 2012 it will feature sessions on:
NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) update on the introduction of the scheme
key recommendations from the Auditor-Generals report into individual funding in Victoria
why should families change theie 'expectations' of services and government?
getting the most out of your Individual Support Package (ISP)

Is it too late to enter the Art Competition?
No. The closing date for entries has been extended to the 27th of January.
Thanks to the Office of the Senior Practitioner for sponsoring
this competition on the theme - My Life, My Way.
When do bookings for Come & Try activities close?
Come & Try (C&T) activities close on 27th January 2012, however remember if you leave it late you may not get into the things you really want.
Is it too late to apply for Sponsorship?
Yes sponsorship has been finalised.
Is there still places in the Dinner & Disco?
Yes we have a bigger venue this year, so there is plenty of room for people to join in the disco or the Dinner & Chat with guest speaker Colleen Pearce, Victoria's Public Advocate.
Are there places left in the Red Faces competition?
Yes there are a few places left in the Red Faces competition, but get your application in soon as there are only 20 places.
Should I still let other people know about the Conference?
Yes. It is not too late to late to register or enter other activities at the conference.
Registrations etc. close on the 27th of January.
Do you still need volunteers?
Yes.......we still need lots of volunteers, so contact us or get the info off the website.
