Vision Australia Community Engagement Speakers Enabling Life Change
Vision Australia Community Engagement Speakers Enabling Life Change
Did you know the number of people who are blind or have low vision is set to double to 600,000 by 2020?
Vision Australia is a partnership between people who are blind, sighted or have low vision. We are united in our passion that people who are blind or have low vision will have access to and participate in every part of life they choose.
Our clients set their own challenges.
We work to understand the daily challenges they must overcome and work with them to achieve the outcomes they want – whether that’s travelling or living independently, obtaining work or reading the daily news.
And now we would like to give you the opportunity to engage with one of Vision Australia’s many volunteer speakers who will share personal experiences about overcoming adversity of being blind yet living life to the full. Our speakers are inspirational and captivate audiences of all ages.
How does a person who is blind or has low vision:
- Access information such as the news or the latest book releases?
- Utilise and make the most of technology such as using a computer or a mobile phone
- Engage and participate in the community, be independent in the home or learn how to be mobile and independent by using a white cane or a Seeing Eye Dog.
Speakers are available in Melbourne metropolitan areas and key regional areas. Vocational Tours can also be arranged for our flagship service centres Kooyong and Kensington.
