NDIS victory
At Monday's historic national rally to ‘make NDIS real’, Prime Minister Julia Gillard announced that the Federal Government will provide their share of funding for the NDIS, and launch sites will commence operation in four locations in 2013.

The aged care reform package announced on Friday 20 April has been welcomed by Aged care providers, consumers and unions.
Ageing parent carers
Carers Victoria has lobbied Minister Wooldridge, Parliamentary Secretary Andrea Coote, Shadow Ministers and the Greens concerning the urgent need for funding to pilot transition and succession planning services for older parents and people with a disability.
Final Report on Guardianship
Carers Victoria welcomes the Victorian Law Reform Commission’s Final Paper on Guardianship. The terms of reference were broad, covering people who acquire a decision making impairment as well as people who have a lifelong intellectual disability.
