Respite Network for Service Providers (RN4SP)

 

MISSION STATEMENT:
To provide an opportunity for agencies from the North and West Metropolitan Region providing respite care to people with a disability and their carers, with a forum to share information, issues and to network with peers.

MEMBERSHIP:
• Is open to service providers of respite care including government, non government and self funded agencies. There is an expectation that members will attend on a regular basis and contribute to the meeting.
• If an agency representative is not able to attend on a regular basis, agencies are encouraged to nominate an alternative representative.
• Members are responsible for "out-reach" networking, including cultural inclusiveness.
• It is desirable to have a representative from Department of Human Services, preferably directly involved in the respite area. The DHS Representative will not have the role of grievance recipient but as a fellow member.
