Programs:

Disability Respite Programs: Youth (12 - 18) or Children (5 - 12)
A Disability Respite program catering for both children with a disability and youth with multiple disabilities.
Programs are designed to be interactive and to encourage participation and socialisation. Activities
include those which are passive and those which are active in nature.
Care is taken that both respite programs, (ages 5-12 and 12-18), cater for the individual participants
needs.
These separate programs provide recreation for children/teens and respite for parents/carers.

Eligibility will be discussed further with parents/carers when the initial contact is made.

Children and Teenagers that reside within the local government areas below are eligible to apply for the programs:
Hobsons Bay
Maribyrnong
Melbourne
Moonee Valley
Wyndham
Brimbank
Melton
Sunbury

Availability of Programs:

Each group meets separately on a three weeks rotation on a Saturday morning for 4 hours at the South Kingsville Community Centre.
Time: 11.00 am – 3.00pm
Children can be dropped off after an initial check with staff and can be picked up at the end of the session.

The programs have limited places: it is highly recommended that you organise to view the program you are interested in and to discuss the possibility of a place.

Great Breaks School Holiday Program
This program is specifically designed to meet the needs of children with a disability. It provides a variety of low cost , quality recreational activities to enjoy during the holidays.

Cost: Depending upon the activity
When: During School Holidays
 

The South Kingsville Community Centre provides a number of disability focused programs which may be ongoing or short term, it is advisable to make enquiries when calling about all programs.
